The Federal Government has appointed Directors and General Manager for two of the Aviation agencies: the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Accident and Investigation Bureau (AIB). FAAN got three new Directors and a General Manager while two new Directors were appointed for AIB.
The newly appointed Directors, according to a statement signed by Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, FAAN’s Acting General Manager, Corporate Affairs, are Group Captain U.S.A. Sadiq, appointed as Director of Security Services (DSS), Capt. RabiuHamisuYadudu, appointed as Director of Airport Operations (DAO); Engr. SalisuNuraDaura, appointed as Director of Engineering Services; and AniefiokUmoh appointed as General Manager, Finance.
She assured the new appointees of a good working relationship with the management and entire staff of the agency which is expected to add value to the system.
AIB’s new Directors are Engr. HashimuIlyasuWali for Engineering and Capt. Dayyabu Mustapha Danraka for Operations. Their appointments are with immediate effect.
Before their appointments, Capt. Danraka was the Bureau’s General Manager, Operations, while Engr. Wali was an Aviation Safety Inspector with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
The appointments follow the expiration of the tenures of former Director of Engineering, Engr. Emmanuel Diala and Director of Operations, Captain Yusuf Lawal.
The Commissioner/CEO of AIB, Engr. Akin Olateru thanked the former directors for their invaluable services to the Bureau and wished them success in their future endeavours.
